Riddle School 2[]

In Riddle School 2, Mr. Sum is initially encountered in the teacher's lounge. After Phil Eggtree manages to make the teachers in the room leave, he goes to his classroom, allowing Phil to enter it.

Riddle School 4[]

In Riddle School 4, it is stated in the Special Features menu that "Mr. Sum was a math teacher for his entire life. He was gardening on the roof of a building and was suddenly mugged by a bear that ate him thirty minutes later." These descriptions are not considered canon, however.^[1]
